There has been a major roadblock at Barshong, in Trashigang. Heavy rainfall caused a landslide in the area at about 8 pm, yesterday. Road clearing works continue to be hampered due to falling boulders.
At least a hundred vehicles have been stranded on both sides of the block. Among those stranded were people returning from the Kanglung Common Forum. The TashigangDzongdag had made arrangements for those travellers.
It is not known yet when the block will be cleared.
