The works and human settlement minister, Dorji Choden inaugurated the Radhi-Phongmay gewog centre road in Trashigang, yesterday.
Blacktopping of the 17.5 kilometre road completed in July, this year.
Lyonpo Dorji Choden said the government has made a huge investment given the importance of connectivity.
It is also expected to benefit Merak Gewog.
The blacktopping, which costs about Nu 28 M was funded by the Indian government.
In the meantime, blacktopping of nine other gewog roads is underway.
The completion is slated for mid next year.
