Besides the organised training programmes, the Department of Employment under the Ministry of Labour and Human Resources is now planning to take the basic entrepreneurship knowledge to the colleges and institutions to prepare the youth build ideas of self employment.
In line with this, around 20 lecturers from different colleges and institutions are in Thimphu, attending a programme to gain firsthand knowledge on entrepreneurship skills.

So far, close to a thousand youth have received the entrepreneurship trainings, of which, many are already in established businesses. They have not just been able to employ themselves but have also created employment opportunities for others.
Druk Holding and Investments is an active partner and is helping Department of Employment conduct trainings for the youth.
The training is organised with the financial support from the United Nations Industry Development Organization.
