Kipse constituency nominates Samdrup Jongkhar’s first Thrompon candidate

Kipse constituency in Samdrup Jongkhar elected 34-year-old Ugyen Wangchuk as its Thrompon candidate for the upcoming Thrompon election. Two aspiring candidates contested from the constituency.  The Dhamngoi zomdu for the third local government election in Samdrup Jongkhar began from today.

Ugyen Wangchuk secured 46 votes while the other candidate Sangay Tenzin secured 28 votes.

Ugyen Wangchuk has a degree in Bachelor of Business Administration and served as a teacher for four years and as an administration officer for 5 years in a private school.

Of 286 registered voters in Kipse constituency, 74 attended the Dhamngoi zomdu today.

Meanwhile, Bangtsho constituency did not have any aspiring candidate. There are six constituencies in Samdrup Jongkhar thromde.
