Kinley Zam and Sangay Wangchuk come first in Laya Run

27-year-old Kinley Zam is the winner in the women’s category, while Sangay Wangchuk came first in the men’s category.

Kinley Zam, a mother of two from Lunana, completed the 25-kilometre Laya Run in 2 hours 39 minutes 50 seconds.

About 24 female, including three foreigners, took part in the run.

35-year-old Sangay Wangchuk, an army physical instructor, completed the race in 2 hours 7 minutes 48 seconds.

52 men, including three foreigners, took part in the run.

Laya Run is one of the many events held as part of the Royal Highland Festival.
