A karaoke bar in Zhemgang was imposed a penalty of Nu 22,500 by the Dzongkhag Entertainment Licensing Committee after it was found violating the prescribed rules and regulations last month. The committee had temporarily shut down the karaoke bar after it was found operating beyond the permissible hour on the night of 24th August.

Six men and a woman customers were found in the entertainment centre during the patrol. The men were later tested for marijuana and tested positive. They are undergoing counselling currently.
