Former Thimphu Thrompon, Kinlay Dorjee is the lone candidate contesting for the post of Thimphu Thrompon. Of the 137 voters from the Babesa Constituency, 133 voters nominated him. Other six constituencies, within the thromde, have no candidates.

Also, there is just one nominee from Dechencholing-Taba Constituency for the post of Thromde Thuemi.

However, all the seven constituencies have a candidate each for the post of tshogpa. The nominees will have to file in their nominations with the Election Commission of Bhutan by Thursday.

The thromde elections will be held on January 25.
