Samtse district has many open porous borders with India and with cases of COVID-19 increasing across the border, the risk of cross border transmission is high. One such high-risk border lies at Chhuchhungsa, popularly known as Jiti border, in
Sang-Ngag-Chhoeling Gewog where people live just meters from one another.  In the wake of growing risks, security personnel has increased vigilance along the area to mitigate cross border transmission.
