The Indian National, who was arrested for alleged child molestation, was released from police custody, yesterday. While reviewing the case, the Office of the Attorney General found insufficient evidence to charge the suspect.
The case will be reopened if police is able to find new evidence in the future.
Police arrested the 24-year-old suspect from Ngabephu, in Thimphu last month, after an 8-year-old girl’s parents lodged the complaint.
