Indian Government releases Nu.2.5 BN

IndianGovtReleases 2BNThe Bhutan government received a cheque of Nu.2.598 BN from the Government of India. Of the total, Nu.2 BN is the Excise Duty Refund for the year 2012. Nu.500 MN comes as the fourth installment of the Economic Stimulus Plan.

The rest, Nu.60 MN is for the spillover project of the construction of Tango Buddhist College.

The Cheque was handed over to the Finance Minister, Namgay Dorji, by the Chargé d’affaires of the Indian Embassy in Thimphu, this afternoon.
