Some reports say Bhutan lies in one of the most seismically active zones of the world. Hence, the threat of a significant earthquake is ever present. The threat of Glacial Lake Outburst Flood is also very much present. Bhutan also experienced the peripheral impact of Cyclone Phailin in October this year, when Cyclone Phailin made a landfall in the eastern India.
