His Majesty on an official visit to India

His Majesty The King granted an audience to the Indian Foreign Secretary Sujatha Singh.

His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Gyaltsuen were received by the senior officials of India, at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi.

His Majesty The King granted an audience to the Indian National Security Advisor Shivshankar Menon.

His Majesty and Her Majesty the Gyaltsuen left on an official visit to the Indian Capital, New Delhi, on the invitation of the President of India, Dr. Pranab Mukherjee, today.

Upon the invitation of the President of India, Pranab Mukherjee, His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Gyaltsuen are residing at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, the official residence of the President.

Their Majesties are the first State Guests in 10 years to be hosted at the newly refurbished Guest Wing, which last hosted a head of state in 2004.

His Majesty The King granted an audience to the Indian Chief of Army Staff General Bikram Singh.

His Majesty granted an audience to India’s foreign secretary, Sujatha Singh, the National Security Advisor Shivshankar Menon and the Chief Army Staff, General Bikram Singh, today.

His Majesty is scheduled to meet the President, Pranab Mukherjee, Prime Minister Dr.Manmohan Singh, and other senior Indian officials.

His Majesty is accompanied by the Home and Cultural Affairs Minister Damchoe Dorji, Foreign Minister Rinzin Dorje, Economic Affairs Minister, Norbu Wangchuk, and other senior officials of the Royal Government.
