His Majesty grants dhar to the new Chief Justice of the High Court

His Majesty The King granted Dhar to appoint Drangpon Duba Dukpa as the Chief Justice of the High Court of Bhutan. Drangpon Duba Dukpa had been serving as the officiating Chief Justice of the High Court.

In accordance with Article 21.11 of the Constitution, the Chief Justice of the High Court is appointed from among the Drangpons of the High Court or from among eminent jurists by His Majesty on the recommendation of the National Judicial Commission.

His Majesty The King also granted Dhar to the Chief Election Commissioner, Chairperson of the Anti Corruption Commission, Auditor General, Commissioners of the ECB and ACC, and Drangpons to the Supreme Court and High Court, who were appointed to their offices on October 14.
