His Majesty the King conferred Tashi Khadar to the newly appointed foreign secretary Kinga Singye at the Tashichho Dzong today.
58-year-old Kinga Singye, the new Foreign Secretary, was serving as the Ambassador, Permanent Representative to the United Nations Office in Geneva prior to his appointment.
Prior to his appointment as Ambassador, Permanent Representative to the United Nations office in Geneva, he served as the Director-General of the Department of Bilateral Affairs under the foreign ministry. Kinga Singye has M.A in International Relations from Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University in Boston, USA.
He joined as a trainee officer in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1984.
