His Majesty the King graced the closing ceremony of the sixth session of the second parliament, today.
National Assembly’s Speaker and National Council’s Chairperson received His Majesty at the Gyalyong Tshokhang.
This session, the parliament passed the Companies Bill and the Jabmi (Amendment) Bill 2015 while the Enterprise Registration Bill was withdrawn. The house also declared the remaining thromdes.
Some new bills like the Customs Bill of Bhutan 2015 and Civil Aviation Bill of Bhutan were also introduced.
Their Royal Highnesses the Princesses and the Indian Ambassador, along with other dignitaries, also attended the closing ceremony.
The session concluded with offering of Tashi Moenlam to His Majesty by the Members of Parliament.
