His Majesty The King conferred Dakyen to the newly-appointed Economic Affairs Minister, Lekey Dorji, today. The Bardo-Trong Member of Parliament of Zhemgang served as the Chairperson of the National Assembly’s Legislative Committee, among others.
He has worked as a board director with Natural Resources Development Corporation Limited and T Bank. Lyonpo is a former member of Academic Board of the Royal University of Bhutan. He was also an entrepreneur.
The minister has a M.Sc. in Telecom and B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Coventry University, UK and University of Kansas in the US.
