His Holiness presides over Samtse’s Moenlam Chenmo

HH-MoenlamChenmo-SamtseHis Holiness the Je Khenpo is presiding over a weeklong Moenlam Chenmo or the Great Prayer Ceremony in Samtse.

Over a 1000 devotees from 15 gewogs and some from neighbouring dzongkhags are attending the prayer ceremony.

The monks from Rabdey and Goendeys in the Dzongkhag are also taking part in the Moenlam Chhenmo.

The prayer ceremony is being conducted for the well-being of the King, the country and the people and also to commemorate the 60th birth anniversary of His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo.

The Moenlam Chhenmo will end on Friday.

His Holiness will administer Ka-Wang on the last day of the prayer ceremony.

This is the fourth Moenlam Chenmo to be organized in Samtse.
