His Holiness the Je Khenpo graced the consecration ceremony of Drepoong Woop Lhakang, and the 35-feet-tall, Dema Nyeshu Taskchi Tongdrel, in Monggar today.
The total cost for the construction of Lhakhang came to about Nu.3 million. It was funded by the government. The Trongrdel cost about Nu. 2.5 million. The money was contributed by the donors.
His Holiness also conferred Tshewang to hundreds of devotees attending the ceremony.
The National Assembly Speaker, Jigme Zangpo, and the National Council Member, Sonam Wangchuk, were also present during the ceremony.
