The works to extend the Namgay Chholing Rabdey in Samtse has been completed. The consecration ceremony was held yesterday. It was presided over by His Holiness the Je Khenpo.
The extension works were carried out at a cost of Nu. 3.8 million from the government.
The Lhakhang was constructed in 1962. And the Rabdey was instituted in 1986. Currently it has 160 monks.
The Lhakhang houses Khenlop Choesum statues.
