His Holiness appoints Principal and Vice-principal of two Shedras

lam-His Holiness the Je Khenpo conferred upon the Khadar to the Principal of Talo Shedra in Punakha and the Vice-principal of Kothaka Rinchenling Tho-rim Shedra in Wangdi Phodrang yesterday.

Droduel Dorji, 41, was appointed as the Principal of Talo Shedra, in Punakha. He is from Uma-Khatoe under Daga Gewog in Wangdi Phodrang. Prior to his present post he served as a teacher at the Tango College of Buddhist Studies

He joined Wangdi Phodrang Rabdey at the age of 12 and completed his Gar-Thick-Yang-Sum. At the age of 18 he went to Sha-Chungney Goenpa in Wangdi Phodrang and studied Zhung-Rigney.

After completing his studies from Tango, he received Cha-Chen-Choedup and completed his Lo-sum–choe- sum under the guidance of His Holiness Je Thrizur Tenzin Dendup.

Gesar Dorji, 43, from Uma Khamey in Wangdi Phodrang is appointed as the Vice-principal of Kothakha Rinchenling Thorim Shedra. He joined Wangdi Phodrang Dratshang at the age of 7. For 13 years, Gesar Dorji studied and completed his Gar Thick Yang Sum from Wangdi Rabdey.

Prior to his current appointment he served as a teacher at the Shedra in Sha-Khota Rinchenling, Wangdi Phoidrang. After that, he received Wang-Lung Thri-sum from His Holiness the present Je Khenpo and Je Thrizur Tenzin Dendup.
