His Holiness the Je Khenpo appointed Lopen Sangay Dorji as the new Letshog Lopen of the Zhung Dratshang, today.
Lopen Sangay Dorji entered the monastic body at the age of 11. He completed nine-year shedra course from Tango.
He received teachings from various Buddhist masters, including the present Je Khenpo and the late Je Khenpo Gayduen Rinchen.
He also completed his three-year retreat from Cheri Meditation Centre.
Lopen Sangay Dorji served as a principal of Dodeydra Shedra for 11 years and as the Principal of Tango Thorim Shedra for the last four years, prior to his appointment.
