His Holiness appoints Lam Neten of Monggar

His Holiness the Je Khenpo appointed 44-year-old Khenpo Tashi Tenzin from Trashigang as the new Lam Neten of Monggar Rabdhey today. His Holiness conferred dhar to the newly appointed Lam Neten at the Namdruling Goenzin Dratshang in Autsho, Lhuentse.

At the age of 11, Khenpo Tashi was ordained as a monk in Trashigang Rabdhey. He also went to Ngatshang Tashi Choling Shedra and Tango Shedra and received teachings from Khaewang Karma Rangdrol, Khaewang Kuenley Gyeltshen, former Tsulag Lopen Samten Dorji and other eminent masters. He completed his Masters in Buddhist philosophy from Tango Shedra in 2005. He underwent the three-year retreat at Tango Drubdey.

Prior to this appointment, Khenpo Tashi served as the Principal of Kidheykhar Shedra in Monggar for almost six years. He also served as the Chorpoen (revision teacher) of Kanglung Shedra and as a teacher at Tango Shedra.
