His Holiness the Je Khenpo appointed thirteen new Lams today including Lam Neten of Paro and Tashiyangtse today. His Holiness awarded Tashi Lekdhar to the new Lams in Tashichhodzong this morning.
45-year-old Kinley Tenzin from Punakha was appointed as Lam Neten of Paro. He served as Khenpo at Dodedra Shedra for nine years. Likewise, 46-year-old Sonam Wangdi from Galing in Trashigang was appointed as Lam Neten of Tashiyangtse. He previously served as Drup-Poen at Tango University of Buddhist Studies.
The other eleven newly appointed lams will be heading different Shedras and Lhakhang of the country.
