Heavy rainfall expected in next 48 hours

According to a forecast from the Department of Hydro-Met Services under the Ministry of Economic Affairs, heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected in Southern, Eastern and isolated places over central Bhutan in the next 48 hours.

The rest of Bhutan is expected to receive moderate rainfall.

There is a low pressure trough running across Bhutan extending till West Pacific Ocean, which could bring rainfall associated with thunderstorms in isolated places.
