Health Minister asks people to cut down travelling amid COVID-19 pandemic

With COVID-19 spreading rapidly in the neighbouring countries, the Health Ministry repeatedly advised people to refrain from travelling. However, more than 10,000 people travelled within the country in less than a month.

“We all must avoid travelling as far as possible. When we look at the situation, a lot of people are still travelling unnecessarily. Once again, I would like to urge our people to refrain from travelling if there is no need to. When we referred the records, more than 10,000 people travelled in not less than a month,” said Dechen Wangmo, the Health Minister.
