Majority of the members felt there is a need to compensate private landowners while prospecting minerals during the deliberation of Mines and Minerals Bill of Bhutan 2020 at the National Assembly yesterday. Moreover, the Economic and Finance Committee of the House is also recommending to obtain written consent from the landowners concerned for promotion and development of mining in private land.
