University graduates, who want to become police officers, will have to pass the Civil Service Examinations from this year onwards.
Royal Bhutan Police say the requirement is to recruit physically and intellectually qualified officers and to do away the rumours of nepotism in the recruitment process.
The police will select the candidates on merit basis. Those who sat for the previous BCSE will not be eligible.
