The Opposition says only 11 pledges of the government’s 34 pledges have been fulfilled, and not 25 as the People’s Democratic Party claims. According to DPT, the fulfilment rate is only 26 percent and not 74 percent. DPT has dismissed few of the PDP government’s fulfilled pledges as those that have already been in existence.
The Opposition, however, maintains that they would not like to argue on the PDP’s 100-day pledges and would rather that the government have a “clear policy and game plan” that would help Bhutan achieve self-reliance by 2020.
A detailed discussion on the assessment of the pledges was held yesterday as part of our News Hour.
