(Road block update): Fresh slide last evening have blocked Gelegphu-Zhemgang highway at Tarala, three kilometres from Zhemgang towards Gelegphu. It is said to be a major block which could take days to clear.

Our reporter said this is the first time that road is block at Tarala. If it rains, it would be risky and difficult to open the road to traffic. The foggy weather and falling boulders are hampering the clearing works.

Meanwhile, Wangdigang- Tingtibi bypass road is still closed to traffic. However, passenger buses from Gelegphu and Bumthang are travelling through Wangduephodrang.

Works are in progress to clear the blocks as early as possible.
