The government has asked all fuel depots across the country to stock up the supply. The Prime Minister said this is to prepare in case of a lockdown.

However, Lyonchhen said people should not worry as the Indian government has assured these supplies for all times to come.

“In cases of increase in COVID-19 cases from where we get fuel and if those countries are locked down, it might take a few days for the governments to talk and sort it out. If we fill all the depots in the country, it will be enough for about 12 or 13 days. Within this time period, we can draw a way out. Moreover, the Indian government has assured the supply of three essential goods that are medical essentials,  food and fuel supply irrespective of any situation,” said Dr Lotay Tshering, the Prime Minister.
