After the EU high representative and the US state department, it is now France, who congratulates the Bhutanese people and the elected members of the parliament.
A statement from the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs states that France welcomes the holding of the second election on Saturday in Bhutan since the establishment of democracy. It says the success of this election strengthens democratic progress in the country.
