Four suspects, accused to killing a tiger in Nubi Gewog, are still in Trongsa police custody.
Three suspects aged between 20-50 were arrested on October 22 while trying to smuggle tiger skin near Ta Dzong in Trongsa.
The fourth suspect was arrested the next day.
A tiger skin, measuring approximately 1.5 metre in length, was also seized.
The forestry report says the tiger was killed using a trap at Thangyul Village under Nubi Gewog.
According to the Forest and Nature Conservation Rules of Bhutan, 2006, tiger falls under protected animal in the country.
The act says anyone found killing and smuggling the parts of animal will be fined up to Nu 1 M.
The forestry officials are still looking for some more suspects involved.
