A former Gup of Khebisa in Dagana has been detained by the police for the suspected murder of an Indian labourer.
The 21-year-old labourer died after the former Gup came from behind and hit him on his head with piece of wood.
The incident took place at around 4 pm below the Daga Dzong yesterday.
The deceased was reportedly having an extramarital affair with the Gup’s wife.
