Bangladesh government has conferred ‘Friends of Liberation War Honour’ on the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ugen Tshering, for his support and contribution to Bangladesh’s Independence War of 1971.
Ambassador of Bangladesh to Bhutan, Imtiaz Ahmed, on behalf of the Government of Bangladesh, awarded Lyonpo Ugyen Tshering in Thimphu today.
Lyonpo said he is honoured and delighted to receive the award from the Government of People’s Republic of Bangladesh.
A similar Award was conferred to the former Secretary of Ministry of Economic Affairs, Dasho Karma Dorji in December last.
