A fire damaged a single-storey house in Rithung Goenpa at Kanglung in Trashigang this morning. There were no casualties. The incident occurred at around 9 a.m. when no one was home. The family reportedly lost all their kitchen belongings to the fire. The fire is suspected to have started from an electric short circuit in a potato chip frying machine kept in the kitchen. The district administration handed over His Majesty’s Kidu Semso to the family.
