Falling boulders kill two

FallingboulderA 33-year-old of Indian origin was killed after he was hit by falling boulders, yesterday. The incident took place at Shingkharchu road block, which is about 34 kilometer away from Tingtibi towards Gongphu under Zhemgang Dzongkhag.

The eye witnesses, who were accompanying him, told BBS that the deceased was coming back after his engagement to his fiancé in India.

The deceased was an engineer for private G25 private construction company from India and had been working under joint venture construction with CDCL at Phangkhar.  ‘

In another accident, an 18-year-old boy, who was working as a helper for NRDCL road construction at Homder NRDCL quarry in Tingtibi,was also buried under falling boulders. The accident took place at around 8:30 am on Monday.
