An exhibition displaying eleven Phubs or ritual daggers is ongoing at the National Museum in Paro. The sacred relics date back to as far as the 8th century. They were housed at the museum for many years but have not been displayed to the public.

The ritual daggers are normally used for tantric rituals. Some of the artefacts were used by renowned tantric Buddhist practitioners like Gyelsey Tenzin Rabgay, Jamtsho Namdru and Nyangrel Nyima Yoezer while some are believed to have been discovered as treasures by Terton Pema Lingpa and Damchen Dorji Legpa.

The exhibition which commenced on Tuesday will remain open till the first week of October.
