The evidence hearing for the battery case involving the warden of Pakshikha Central School was held at the Chhukha District Court on Tuesday.
The school’s warden is charged with battery for hitting two students on the night of May 1. The Office of the Attorney General (OAG) registered the case with the court on May 24 after Gaedu police forwarded the case to it on May 15.
On June 13, as the warden submitted his rebuttal, he sought an explanation on why the case was reopened five days after it was mutually resolved with him paying a compensation of Nu 60,000 to the victims. He told the court that a copy of an agreement letter was also shared with the police.
He sought answers on why the police did not take action at the time of the incident. He also questioned the legal basis on which he was arrested.
