The discussion on the Economic Stimulus Plan (ESP) in the National Council on Monday saw a mixed reaction from the members. Members were skeptical on how ESP would serve its intended purpose. The members of the National Council recommended sourcing external assistance should be discontinued in future to fulfill election pledges.
Council members recommended, the implementation of the current ESP should be the first and last of its kind. A total of Nu. five billion will be injected by the government under the economic stimulus package.
