The extended classroom or the ECR of Chungshing under Jigme Chhoeling Gewog in Sarpang has been closed this year. The ECR saw only one student enroll in Pre-primary.
Moreover, a survey conducted by Jigme Chhoeling Lower Secondary School, the parent school of the ECR, revealed that only two students would enroll in the ECR in 2015-16.
Four students, who completed their class three, sought admission in the parent school and the rest left for other schools. The ECR had 15 students studying from Pre-primary to class three last year. It was started in 2010.
