With the parliamentary elections drawing closer, another new political party is in the making. The ‘Druk Me-Ser Tshogpa’ is working on the party charter and manifestos. According to one of the senior members of the party’s core group, Dasho Penjor Dorji, the party has also begun the hunt for candidates. He said the party symbol has also been decided. However, they are yet to decide the color of the party symbol.

The party has also drafted their manifesto and is waiting for the 11th Five Year Plan to be finalised.

Dasho Penjor Dorji said the party ideologies and manifesto might be similar to other parties but he said Druk Me-Ser Tshogpa’s top priority will be women empowerment and zero youth unemployment.

The party, he added, is already working on the strategies and policies.

In the meantime, the party is working towards fulfilling the requirement of the election commission to register the party.
