Druk Phuensum Tshogpa’s President, Jigmi Y.Thinley, who is in Paro on a campaign trail, said DPT might be competing against two parties.
Speaking to the people at Wangchang gewog today, Jigmi Y. Thinley said he is unsure as to who DPT is competing against. He said he is doubtful that their opponents are infact two parties instead of one.
“After the primary round of elections, I am not sure how many parties are left for the next round. According to the law, there are only two parties contesting the general elections, but I feel DPT has two opponent parties instead of one.”
This comes a few days after DPT put up a complaint letter to ECB to enquire into a possible coalition between PDP and DNT.
The DPT president also said that many rumours, which are untrue, were being spread about the party and pleaded to the people to think and act wisely.
The DPT president will continue its campaign in Haa tomorrow.
