Dorji Lopon appoints new JDWNRH Lam, new Guen-Zhug Umze and new Zhung Dratshang Chhoepoen

The Dorji Lopon of the Zhung Dratshang has appointed the New Lam of the National Referral Hospital in Thimphu, the new Guen-Zhug Umze and the new Zhung Dratshang Chhoepoen. The new appointees received Dhar from the Dorji Lopon at the Punakha dzong today.

47-year-old Sangay from Sephu in Wangdue Phodrang is the new Lam of the Jigme Dorji Wangchuck National Referral Hospital in Thimphu. He graduated from the Tango Buddhist University and completed his three-year retreat from the Cheri Drupdhey in Thimphu. Prior to his present post, he was a teacher at Phajoding Drupdhey in Thimphu.

36-year-old Tsendra Dorji from Naja in Paro is the new Zhung Dratshang Chhoepoen. Prior to his present post, he served as a Jaling Teacher under the Zhung Dratshang. He studied at the Lekshey Jungney Shedra in Punakha and completed his three-year retreat from the Cheri Drupdey in Thimphu.

And 51-year-old Gyembo from Nyisho in Wangdue Phodrang is the new Guen-Zhug Umze of the Tashichhoedzong in Thimphu. He was a Lampoen of Zhung Dratsang prior to his present post. He studied at the Lekshey Jungney Shedra in Punakha and completed his three-year retreat at the Chizhi Goenpa Drupdey in Thimphu.
