Dorji Lopen confers tashi lekdhar to the new Lam of Lungchutse temple in Thimphu

The Dorji Lopen of the Central Monastic Body conferred Tashi Lekdhar to Lam Ugyen Penjor, the new Lam of Lungchutse temple in Thimphu, this morning.

32 year old  Lam Ugyen Penjor is from Tsilungkha in Haa. He joined the monastic body at the age of nine and graduated from Tango Dorden Tashithang Buddhist University in 2016.

Lam Ugyen Penjor recently completed lo-sum chog-sum, the three-year retreat, from Thimphu Trashigang Geonpa.
