People of Gyalpoizhing in Monggar will no longer have to carry jerry cans and fetch water from the nearby water sources. This is because the DeSuung National Service Water Project was handed over to the Monggar Dzongkhag administration today. The project worth Nu 37.8 M will benefit close to 480 households of Gyalpozhing Throm and nearby areas. The project was completed in ten months.
The water projects are part of the DeSuung National Service to build water infrastructure across the country for the benefit of the people. DeSuups work in partnership with the government and the Royal Bhutan Army in carrying out the projects.
