Dengue fever claims one more life

Dengue fever claimed one life in Dewathang hospital in Samdrup Jongkhar, taking the number of deaths from the dengue fever to five. The 53-year-old woman died yesterday. 

According to a health official, the deceased had travelled to Phuentshogling recently and was admitted to Dewathang hospital on September 4.

More than 2,600 cases of dengue positive have been reported from 19 dzongkhags so far. Dewathang hospital has reported two dengue cases while Samdrup Jongkhar district has reported 16 cases.
