Three gewogs of Lingzhi, Soe and Naro in Thimphu reported the death of yaks and horses due to incessant rain and windstorm over the last couple of days.
In the preliminary reports the gewog administrations received so far, Lingzhi Gewog recorded a total of 14 deaths of yaks and horses, Soe Gewog with the death of two yaks and Naro Gewog reported the death of a horse so far. Local leaders say the number would increase since the gewog administrations are in the process of compiling the reports.
The reports will be submitted to Thimphu Dzongkhag Administration.
