Coronation Cup Championship, Gyalsey Futsal league underway

One of the popular tournaments among the basketball enthusiast in the capital -“The Coronation Cup Championship” began at the Youth Development Fund complex from yesterday.

In the opening match, defending champion Magics defeated Effects by seven baskets.

A total of 37 men’s team and 6 women’s team are participating in the championship. It is organised by the Bhutan Basketball Federation.

Meanwhile, 28 teams are taking part in the first ever Gyalsey Futsal league in the capital. Seven matches are played every day.

Team Happy is organizing the league, which will now be organized yearly as a rolling trophy. The final will be played on July 16.
