The Bhutan Tendrel Party reasserted their plans for the rural communities, elderly population, contract employees and youth. while meeting the people of Dagapela in Dagana yesterday. BTP President Pema Chewang said the party will do away with the tedious job of obtaining permits for performing simple tasks in rural areas.
The BTP president promised the people that if the party wins the general round, there will be a policy shift where people will no longer have to obtain permits to cut down trees from their private land.
The president further added that the same rule would apply for the sale of sand and boulders from private land.
Moreover, the president also reassured that people in rural communities will be able to construct their houses without having to produce drawings unlike in urban centres.
The president also pledged to provide monthly allowances of Nu 3,000 to the senior citizens above the age of 65 and people living with disabilities.
The president also highlighted how the country is flooded with contract employees starting from teachers to nurses and drivers among others.
For the wellbeing of contract employees, the president also highlighted that the party will regularise all the contract employees if they win the elections.
The president also talked about the difficulties faced by fresh graduates while finding a proper job without any experience.
For this, the party pledges to offer temporary jobs to graduates with a salary for a year.
