A bird flu outbreak has been detected in Rinchending area near the Phuentsholing check post. The outbreak was confirmed after the laboratory test carried out at the national centre for animal health at Serbithang in Thimphu following the death of three birds on Monday.
Dr. Kinzang Dorji from the national center for animal health said the culling works was carried out yesterday to prevent the spread of the flu.
